Past comps ▼
The ticklist feature offers you the opportunity to climb challenging comp problems of the past and earn yourself a place in the hall of fame.
The hall-of-fame honors the completion of grades. That means you have to complete all climbs up to a grade of your choice to enter the hall-of-fame at that grade.
Example: You ticked all 6A+ and all 6Bs but only one 6B+ of the ticklist => you enter the hall-of-fame at 6B level.
As a logged-in user, you can add comments on various pages of this website. Example: You can add comments to problems or beta videos.
Concerning privacy and data protection: please be aware that every user is able to see all of your comments.
This website is related to enjoying climbing and is intended to be a friendly, welcoming, fun place to stay.
Please respect the following guidelines to keep it a fun place:
Admins are advised to delete any kind of comment that does not fit the guidelines above or just seem to be harmful or inappropriate in any other way - without further notice.
Admins are also able to edit your comments if required. Example: You forgot the "BETA": tag and admin adds it. Of course you can edit or delete your own comments too :-)
This site provides a simple way to view Moonboard beta and sick send videos from various sources.
You can submit send video links from basically every URL on the internet.
Just some examples:
Got sick footy? Submit them on the problem pages in the "Beta videos" tab.
To make sure we aren't receiving unwanted spam from bots, your submissions will undergo a review process before being published. Please give us a bit time to process everything.
In rare cases we will might discard submissions, e.g. in case we find a duplicate entry, the link is broken or something else is completely off.
You can directly upload a video here on this platform if you don't have a social media account, or if you do not want to post your climbing videos there.
To make sure this works, you have to make sure to match to following criteria:
You could potentialy use the built-in tools on your smartphones to achieve this, but it propably needs a bit of familiarization and practice.
On the PC (or Mac), a free tool to edit videos and manipulate video formats and sizes is e.g. the free and open source software "kdenlive" (kdenlive.org). While this is a full editing solution, of course there are simpler alternatives out there to convert formats and shrink files.
Anyways, you will propably have to play around a little bit with the tools you have to figure out what works for you.
Note: By uploading a video, you guarantee that you own the copyright to the video/ content (including the audio :-( ).
We have built in a simple mechanism called "feed" to keep you updated about what happened recently.
It either shows up at the bottom of the ticklist view or - when a comp is active - in your personal comp page.
The feed informs you about things like problem submissions, sends and new comments etc. in reverse chronological order. There is no algorithm behind it to push things - events just appear unfiltered in the order they happened. There will be a simple button on top of the feed which you can press to delete the complete list of events. You should push that button from time to time :-)
The Forum (
) is a collection of chats for all users who do not want to use tools by big tech companies. We don't collect or sell you data. We don't track you. The provided functionality is pretty basic but will be extended if the feature is used.
Same rules apply as the ones mentioned in the "Commenting" section in this FAQ.
No. This server is not related in any way to the moon climbing systems. Therefore you can choose whatevery name you like. But it might be helpful to choose your moonboard app username as "display name" so that other users know who you are.
Unfortunately this is not possible. Your password is safely stored in an encrypted format which cannot be de-crypted. If you ever forget your password you can use our "forgot password" link which is available on the log-in page.
Sure! Please contact us via the e-mail address mentioned in the imprint.
